RESUME

Freelance IT Consultant

I am currently working freelance as an IT Consultant. Mostly working within the hospitality sector. This has included migrations from 3rd Party email platforms to Office 365, Wifi specification and installation, network design and implementation and web design.

3rd Line Technical Support Engineer – IT Support 365 Ltd

At IT Support 365 I was the only 3rd Line engineer employed by the company, my role was to deal with the more complex support tickets along with project work. Working mainly within the cloud, with the likes of Office 365, Azure and other 3rd Party cloud based applications. The role required me to be confident and always up to date with what is happening with Office 365, specifically working with Exchange & SharePoint as customers are migrating from on premise systems to Office 365.

3rd Line OnSite Support Engineer – Prodigy IT Solutions

At Prodigy IT I was one of two engineers that maintain on the onsite jobs, mainly dealing with installations and configurations. I also deal with most of the migrations from SBS 2008 to new 2016 domains usually alongside an Office 365 migration.

Senior Engineer – Poundbury Systems Ltd

I started working at PSL as soon as I finished secondary school at the age of 16. During my apprenticeship, I completed an ITQ Level 2 and gained valuable hands on experience. I left to join Haynes Publishing but remained in contact with PSL and was asked to return in a more senior position. This new role meant that I was hands on with new developments including Office 365 roll outs and presales consultancy, virtual servers, hosting and leading our engineering team.

Support Analyst – JG Consulting

At JG Consulting I was brought in to manage the helpdesk which included supporting all their customers daily. Mainly Apple Mac support along with supporting Daylite, a Mac only CRM client developed by Marketcircle in Canada.

Technical Consultant – Coastal Computing

Coastal Computing was a temporary contract for me, here I worked mainly on building their hosting platform (Hosted Exchange/IIS Hosting) and installing an Asterisk phone system in The Maritime Hotel which was used during the UK Olympics.

Technical Support Engineer – SES Computing

Moving to SES Computing I found myself back in a support company, my job role involved supporting all domestic and business customers. This ranged from issues involving Windows Server 2003/2008, Windows XP/Vista/7.

Desktop Support Analyst – Haynes Publishing

My role at Haynes came shortly after finishing my apprenticeship and was that of 1st Line Support for the UK base. This included the support of all desktops, laptops, servers & printers. I also took my first steps into the way that backups work and why they are needed.
